Center for RNA Technologies and Therapeutics
The UCSD Center for RNA Technologies and Therapeutics (RNA Center) is a world-class program that bridges basic and clinical research in RNA-based technologies, data science, and therapeutics. Our long-term goal is to connect multiple disciplines across Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, and Health Sciences to develop and expand novel RNA technologies, discover new RNA biology, and ultimately improve human health.
The RNA Center will develop robust, reproducible, and quantitative technologies and machine-learning methods that enable fundamental discoveries in RNA biology in gene regulation, health and disease, thereby enabling the creation of RNA-based approaches as tools for science and therapeutics. The Center is housed at the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine.
We will train the next generation of RNA engineers, scientists and entrepreneurs with a commitment to translating our scientific discoveries into improving human health.
